I want to love it, I really do but the thing is the velcro is such a cheap design that even the buckle doesn’t help keep it in place and these fall off both my dogs, 2-3x a day and i’m stuck searching all over the house using the proximity sensor :/

Attachment problem.
Easy for Whistle to come off collar with vigorous shaking. I have talked about it before. Will include a photo of how I “fixed” it temporarily.

Excellent
I really love it! I can see what he is doing when and have increased his physical activity. My husband says I’m tracking him, but I now know if he took him for a walk and for how long. I like knowing the eating, drinking, scratching and licking data too. Corky, my pup, appears to have a seasonal allergy and this has actually shown that too as it is subsiding as the weather cools down.

Great Insight
This little guy has given me great 👍🏻 insight into the life of my fury companion. It shows his day and it helps find if there is anything out of the ordinary.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a subscription to use Whistle™ Health Limited Edition?
Yes, you’ll need an annual subscription so your Whistle™ Health Limited Edition can connect to the service needed to collect your pet’s data.
How long will my Whistle™ Health Limited Edition battery last?
It can last up to one month on a single charge. But we recommend charging once it hits 25%. Battery life is also affected by WiFi and network coverage, so keep that in mind if you have a shaky connection. Your USB charger will bring your Whistle™ Health Limited Edition back to a full charge in about 90 minutes.
How do you calculate my pet’s activity?
Technically speaking, we use a three-axis accelerometer to estimate the total amount of energy your pet used each minute. Then we use that energy estimate to determine if your dog is resting, wandering around the house, or in full squirrel chase mode.
TLDR: We learn from your pet’s behavior over time and use that data to understand their activity levels.
How do you arrive at health insights?
Short answer: sensors and a lot of measuring. Your Whistle™ Health has sensors that take 150 measurements of your dog’s motion every second. We then use our behavior detection algorithms, courtesy of our partners at Pet Insight Project, to detect specific movements like scratching or licking.
How do you determine the distance my pet has traveled?
We use a device called a three-axis accelerometer. It senses how much your pet is moving, up to 50 times per second. We use that data from tens of thousands of pets to create an algorithm that accurately calculates a distance estimate.
How do I buy a replacement or upgrade my device?
If you’re already subscribed to a plan, select "Device Only" above.
Tap on the Human tab in the app, then select the option to set up a new Whistle collar. You’ll have the option to choose your existing pet profile and subscription.
Do I need an AT&T plan to use Whistle™ Health?
Nope, that’s what your subscription plan covers. Whistle uses the AT&T 4G LTE network, but you can use the Whistle app on any smartphone, no matter your plan.
Why can’t I see my dog’s data when they are home alone?
WHISTLE™ Health is a Bluetooth device, which means that it requires a close-proximity connection to your mobile phone in order to sync updates with the app. We recommend syncing often by opening your mobile app within eyesight of the WHISTLE™ Health device to get the most updated data about your pet.
You can think of your pet’s WHISTLE™ Health device as an always-on watchful companion that gathers your pet’s activities and syncs them all to your phone at once so you can get an updated picture of their overall health. It translates everything your dog has been doing throughout the day into an easy to digest format that makes it easy to track overall trends. WHISTLE™ Health speaks both “dog” and “data” fluently, and keeps tabs on your pet’s activities so you don’t miss a thing!
I am home with my dog, but data isn’t syncing to my phone?
Bluetooth ranges can vary depending on interference from everyday objects such as walls, doors, electronics, and home appliances. If you and your dog are in the same room, move the WHISTLE™ device to a clear line of sight and open your app. You should see the LED on the device blinking as the data syncs to your mobile device. Depending on how long it’s been since the last sync, the upload may take several minutes to complete.
Does the device have to be on a certain part of my dog’s neck to work?
Your WHISTLE™ Health will track your dog’s health and activity metrics accurately in any orientation, as long as it is attached to your dog’s collar and not another accessory like a harness or leash. WHISTLE™’s algorithms account for 360 degree rotation around a dog’s neck to ensure every run, roll, and rub is captured!
Why can’t I see my pet’s health metrics in real time?
WHISTLE™ uses the most advanced artificial intelligence in petcare to translate high-fidelity data into actionable health insights. We deliver pet parent decision support by processing, calibrating, and analyzing data in the cloud over a 24 hour period. As a result of this intensive processing and analytics, health metrics will appear for the previous day’s insights, characterizing daily changes.
How many days does my dog have to wear the WHISTLE™ Health before I can see results?
In order to establish a baseline of your dog’s unique behavior and lifestyle, WHISTLE™ collects calibration data over the course of a 7 day period. Once a baseline is established, WHISTLE™ can then provide insights regarding any new changes in your dog’s behavior relative to the baseline.
Why is my dog’s Wellness Score low?
If you see a drop in your dog’s Wellness Score, no need to panic! Your dog may just be feeling a little extra tired. This could be resting after a very active day, bad weather, or a change to your daily routine. A one-day dip in your dog’s Wellness Score is a great opportunity to take your pet for a brisk walk or play some fetch! However, if you notice that your dog’s Wellness Score is dropping over several days and your dog appears lethargic, listless, or otherwise under the weather, it may be time to visit a veterinarian.
