After much MUCH research, I had decided to buy the Tagg Pet Tracker after my Siberian Husky ran off chasing a panther. Yes, a panther.

My husky has a microchip and a collar with her information, but was picked up by a neighbor down the block who decided she was such a pretty dog and they should keep her (I will be silent about my feelings towards them now). Well, after posting flyers and calling every animal shelter in town, my boyfriend found her being walked on a leash on these people's property to their mailbox a day later. Needless to say, I immediately knew microchipping and having a collar wasn't enough (sadly).

I found the Tagg, ordered it, followed all its directions for setup, and it's the best thing ever! I went on vacation a week after her little adventure and had a friend watch over her. She ran away from him not once, but twice! I was able to track her from the Tagg app on my phone and online. I could direct my friend to her exact path and where she was at that exact moment... It continuously updates or you can manually update to search for her location. The map looks like a Google map which you can change to satellite view and zoom in/out.

Needless to say, it works and calms the nerves when you have a highly active/curious dog. You never need to worry if they ever run off, because you can just whip out your cell and find them instantly. Great product.

I drove about two miles, to the paw icon shown on the map, and there she was.

We have a yellow lab that is undeterred by our Invisible Fence (although our other lab respects it), so I bought this tracker for her. She is often gone for a couple of hours but always turns up at the back door, often wet and muddy. We had assumed she was just frolicking in neighboring woods and creek, but we live on a busy 4-lane highway with a 45 mph speed limit, so it's always stressful when she's missing.

Well, we had our first test two nights ago when she ran off the first time with the tracker on her collar and activated. I immediately started receiving alerts (text and email). I was at a college basketball game so couldn't respond immediately, but once I got home my wife and I set out to find her. I drove about two miles, to the "paw" icon shown on the map (in a densely populated subdivision), and there she was, galloping across yards and about to make a turn onto a golf course in the direction of our home. We called her and she came and we drove her home.

Based on the other places she had been according to previous alerts, we figure she covered about four miles. Frightening to think that this probably wasn't the first time she had traveled that route. We are considering options to get her to stay inside the Invisible Fence perimeter, but in the meantime, I'm happy we can at least have an idea of where she is next time she bolts. I read reviews complaining that map locations were not timely communicated, but they seemed to be in our experience. I was using my iPad and I would just hit the "refresh" icon when I wanted to update her location.

Our dogs Maggie, a 4 year old Boxer/Rotweiller mix, and Max, a 3 year old Labrador Retriever, have had their Tagg trackers since they were pups. I know that Tagg saved our Maggie's life.

Our family (2 humans and both dogs) was in a horrible car accident recently. We were T-boned by a large speeding truck which spun our car around, knocked out all the windows on one side, and totaled our vehicle. After the car came to a stop, Maggie jumped out of one of the broken windows and took off, terrified from the impact. It was dark outside, and I had no idea where she went.

Once I realized what had happened, I was able to immediately track her with the help of a passerby who downloaded the Tagg mobile app (I didn't have my phone after all the commotion). He drove me to where Maggie was, and fortunately, she was unharmed. We were in a high traffic area, and I'm confident had we not found her when we did, the outcome could have been horrible.

Our other dog had to undergo surgery after the crash (he will have a full recovery), and both of us humans sustained concussions and a few other injuries, but the only thing that truly matters is we all survived. The car is replaceable but our doggies aren't! We feel very lucky, and are incredibly thankful to Tagg for creating a life-saving product!

We never wanted Rowdy to go through that again, so we researched and found the best reviews for the Tagg. We could never be happier that we bought it. It emails and alerts us at all times by our mobile phones when he is out of the area. The collar does not seem to faze him at all. The only thing he doesn't like is when he's out of zone and we track him down. He knows that means he is in TIME OUT for the day! Thank you for a wonderful product and for the well-being of our pets.

I was somewhat concerned that, given my rural area, my Verizon signal strength would affect the performance of the Tagg operation. So far, I have been very happy with its performance. I usually get notified very quickly when we exit the home zone. (I always forget to put it into a trip mode, thus running the battery down frequently.)

I've had one incident in which Kaymen left the premises, and I was notified within 5 minutes. I was so concerned about his well-being (he's still a puppy) that I logged in and made the location command while driving my golf cart.

Needless to say, Tagg took me right to the area Kaymen was. I live in a very heavy desert growth area with hills in all directions. He could have gone anywhere, but Tagg put me right were I needed to be. I called for him and there he was with a big smile on his face! Mine too!

I used the locate button and tracked her to the side of a busy road. I was able to stop traffic and pick her up. There is a very good chance she would have been hit by a car today had I not been able to track her. A fox had been on our property at dawn this morning, and I'm now guessing he was still here when I let Taylor out and she gave chase. Thank you!

We rescued a Podenco (Ibizan Hound) from Spain. He flew from Madrid to Miami with 5 other rescued galgos and podencos.  I picked him up in Jacksonville, FL and drove him home (20 hours round trip).  The first morning in our home my husband thought it was safe to let him off the leash to play with our other sighthounds and "poof" he was gone.  23.5 hours later he found his way back to our home but this episode is what prompted us to buy the Tagg system. Best investment we ever made for our peace of mind.  Not only could we locate him at any point in time, we loved the activity tracking aspect as our goal every day was to make him too tired to run away again. The battery charge usually only lasted for 5 days because we had it "on" at all times.  The Tagg only came off the collar one time, and it was probably my failure to attach it securely but I found it easily by hitting the button on the base unit so it would blink. In the 2 months that we used it we only got one false alarm. Highly recommend Tagg for any dog but especially for sighthounds with a high prey drive as they can disappear so quickly.
