Bumble Bee
Story from Fergus K.

As we only have each other, his safety means everything to me.

When I moved from the UK to Florida for school, I left behind all my family and friends but took my cat Bumble Bee with me. As we only have each other, his safety means everything to me. The Tagg GPS tracker gives me peace of mind when I’m at school and Bumble Bee is enjoying the outdoors :-).

My husband and I are out of town on our honeymoon, and my dog is currently with his babysitters (aka my parents). I received an alert he was outside the zone and I immediately called my dad asking what is going on.

My dad tells me Basil has taken off. I tell him where he is located from the GPS, and he immediately starts looking for Basil, but isn't as easy as it sounds. The downside is that my parents live out in the country full of woods, ponds and hills. I immediately try to get ahold of other people so they can download the Tagg app and start tracking Basil as well.

After about 3-4 hours and about 6-7 miles away from the house, Basil is finally found! Thank god for the Tagg tracker because without it, I would of never of guessed my little puppy could have travelled so far, especially through all the terrain. Not to mention it had started raining and getting dark!

Humans just couldn't keep up with my four legged son - the closer they got to him, the farther he went away. Luckily they were able to see where he was going. I was able to have a little peace of mind by logging into my app and seeing that he was still moving around and not hit by a car.

We are planning a 3-day drive across country with our animals and we're ordering Taggs for all of them, even though they're chipped, and they will always have them on. Only a small suggestion. Make them a bright color instead of grey. LJ's collar has come off a couple of times and we have to wait until dark sometimes to find it with the Page light.

Tagg just saved our dog’s life! First a little background...

We live in a rural area and have a fair amount of acreage. We also have a 4 acre pond fitted with a windmill air pump that supplies the pond with oxygen. During the winter, as the air is pumped through the air stone to the surface, it leaves a portion of the pond unfrozen.

We recently purchased 2 pure bred German Shepherds – Patton and Rommel. We also purchased the Tagg Pet Tracker for each of them, as fencing here is minimal and we wanted to teach our dogs to stay close to home. We wanted to be alerted when they strayed.

Patton and Rommel were outside playing as usual, and the “outside the Tagg zone” alert came across our cell phones. Calling them home, we saw Patton running back and forth at the pond's edge in obvious distress. We immediately knew Rommel had fallen into the open hole on the surface of the pond.

We ran out to find Rommel’s head sticking out of the hole in the ice as he struggled to clamber out of the water. Hypothermia was setting in quickly, and Rommel had only minutes to live. Running out onto the ice at first, and then crawling as the ice thinned, we were able to reach Rommel and get a line tied to his collar. Backing away from the hole allowed Rommel the leverage to climb out of the icy water and back to safety.

Moral of the story... There are many dangers out there for our beloved animals. Whether in the city with traffic or in the country with open ponds, horses that kick, and packs of coyotes that attack, we can’t protect them from all hazards they will encounter. In this case, the Tagg alert we received bought us the minutes that meant the difference between life and death for our puppy! Thank you Tagg – your product is worth every penny!

I unexpectedly lost my husband less than a month ago. A little over two weeks after the tragedy, our beloved cat Benny went missing for four days. I was beside myself. He is an outside cat during the day but always came home for dinner. You can imagine my despair.

Luckily, the little guy did come home safe and sound. I vowed to never go through those 4 days again and started researching products like yours. My sister surprised me with your GPS Tagg device.

Today Benny reluctantly let me put it on him, and off he went to the great outdoors. I can not tell you what peace of mind this gave me throughout the day. Just knowing I was able to know where he was at any given moment was so comforting. And when I checked and saw on my app that he was next door, well, that was priceless. Seeing the blinking light in the darkness, I knew he was going to be home in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much.

Waverly is our sweet, ornery, special needs Aussie. She is deaf and blind in one eye, with only 10% vision in the other eye. Of course, we understood the importance of keeping her secure when we adopted her.

One day, however, the UPS man let Waverly out of the yard when we were not home. She was gone for 3 days and we were worried sick. That's when I found Tagg. While I hoped that she would never escape, I had the assurance that if she did, I would know immediately and could find her.

Last week one of our horses (or goats... not sure) knocked down part of the fence while I was at work. I received a text indicating that Waverly was out of her safe zone. I left work immediately, but was 30 minutes away. I continued receiving texts as to her location.

As I pulled onto our dirt road I spotted my other Aussie, Lily, running around by the gate. I stopped and got out. Lily led me right to the spot where Tagg indicated that Waverly was. Waverly was circling in a field, trying frantically to smell her way home.

I hate that she got out again, but now I have absolute confidence in Tagg, and know that Waverly will never be in danger again. Thank you, Tagg!

I have two sisters that were rescue dogs. They run often and a lot. My hard kennel is 15x10 and connected to a soft kennel with grass and trees that is twice as large. This is all in side my fenced yard. The older dog will push on the fence mesh until she can squeeze out, followed by her sister. Once they find the weakness in the outer fence, they are gone. My longest search for them was 3 hours... not including the nights I gave up due to darkness.

The first time they ran with Tagg, I had them located and back home in 20 minutes. Today, I got one notice of their location and then the battery was too weak to signal. I used the 'text locate' feature and located them in ten minutes. Well worth the money spent.
