Sneak peek: Whistle 3.2 release
In the weeks since the new Whistle platform launched, we have stayed in close contact with the community to roll out five timely and important updates, which you can read more about here.
Today we’re announcing the latest updates to your Whistle experience, and are excited to say that we’ve included a little bit of something for everyone - whether you use Whistle on your iPhone, an Android device or on your personal computer.
There is one update we’re certain will get tails wagging - Custom Notification settings! Starting next week, you can control which notifications you’d like to receive, and how you’ll receive them. Look for a helpful tutorial here on the blog and in your inboxes when it is released!
New Mobile App Features (iOS and Android)
In the newest release of our mobile apps, you will now be able to keep tabs on all of your pets’ locations, battery status and activity in one place with the GPS overview screen.
We’ve improved the Community Board features to make it easier for users to raise a support ticket or provide feedback directly to our product team.
You can now be directed to the Maps screen when you tap on a location-related notification for any pet.
In addition, we made the following bug fixes to make your experience better:
- Improved the display of Whistle zones when multiple pets’ zones are displayed on the Maps screen
- App no longer crashes when accepting to be an owner of another pet
- You can now reply to SMS location notifications with commands like “TRACK” to follow your pet via text message
- SMS texts now also include a time and date stamp with location notifications
We’ve expanded the web app to make it easier to navigate the menu and maps.
For anyone wanting to customize their notification settings, you can adjust which types of notifications you want to receive and specify if you want them to come via the app, SMS, email, or all three!
Finally, we’ve added a new “Tracking ended” notification for GPS customers to make tracking sessions more intuitive.
Since we know that ‘tis the season for many details, we’ll send you a reminder when they’re ready for you to give them a spin!
If you have any questions in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out through our support center.
